Today, voting decisions are made in election micro-moments when voters turn to a mobile device to learn about a candidate, event, or issue.

Video is a highly effective medium for conveying emotive messages that can inspire voter action on a large scale. Videos can be either short or long, and have the ability to convey personality, empathy, conviction, and relatability. They provide candidates with a platform to deliver their message in a controlled manner.

Video is a useful visual marketing tool for political campaigns at all levels. In the current political climate, it is important to utilize video marketing in order to reach a wide range of voters. Campaign videos have significant value and can be created to suit any budget or campaign size, increasing the likelihood of electoral success.

Developing Your Video Project Plan

If you're embarking on a video project, having a solid plan in place is crucial for its success. Developing a comprehensive video project plan will help ensure that you stay organized, on track, and deliver a high-quality final product. From outlining your project goals to coordinating with your team and managing the logistical aspects, a well-thought-out plan will serve as your roadmap throughout the entire production process.

In the following sections, we will break down the essential steps to developing a video project plan, including setting objectives, creating a budget, defining your target audience, outlining the script and storyboard, scheduling your production timeline, and selecting the right equipment and resources. With a clear and detailed plan in place, you'll be better equipped to tackle the challenges of video production and bring your vision to life.

The Team with the Right Equipment and Tools for Your Project

When it comes to choosing the right equipment and tools for your video project, it is crucial to consider the scale and genre of your production. For most video projects, access to cameras is essential, along with lighting equipment to ensure proper illumination. Depending on the type of shots you plan to capture, modifiers such as diffusers or reflectors may also be necessary. In addition, gimbals or stabilizers can help achieve smooth and steady footage.

For pro audio, having a good quality microphone and a recording device is important to capture clear sound during filming. It's also critical to have the necessary post-production equipment for editing and finalizing the video. This may include a powerful computer, video editing software, and possibly color correction tools to enhance the visual appeal of your footage.

In summary, when preparing for your video project, ensure that you have access to cameras, lighting, modifiers, gimbals/stabilizers, and pro audio for the filming process, as well as the necessary post-production equipment for editing and finalizing the video. By considering the specific needs of your project and choosing the right equipment and tools, you can ensure a successful outcome for your video production.

Additionally, these companies are capable of handling all stages of the production process, from scriptwriting and storyboarding to filming, editing, and post-production. This ensures a smooth and streamlined process, resulting in a final product that meets or exceeds expectations.

Moreover, professional video production companies have access to a wide range of talent and services. This includes access to professional actors, voiceover artists, and on-screen talent, as well as access to specialized services such as animation, visual effects, and motion graphics. This allows for a diverse range of creative options and ensures that the production team can bring any vision to life.

Overall, working with a professional video production company guarantees high-quality content, comprehensive production support, and access to a wide range of talent and services, making it a valuable investment for any business or organization.

The following is our process and this may deviate from other organizations. Our experience demonstrates a track record of success and we specialize in the creation of quality video content intended to educate, inform and promote our client’s products and services.

Our forte is designing visual elements and weaving them together. A typical Oh Ya! video combines live-action footage, interviews, voiceover, text and lively graphics. These elements are interwoven to explain concepts and processes in a way that helps viewers toward deep understanding of a topic.

You can be confident that we will deliver powerful, visually exciting ideas that will bring complex and abstract learning to life. This proposal describes how we will accomplish this goal as cost-effectively as possible.

Two key approaches are the foundation of our success. First, we cultivate a collaborative work relationship with the client content development team. This supportive ethos enables us to offer creative solutions through every phase of the production cycle.

Our video production team on location

Everyone on staff embraces ideas, feedback, and suggestions to implement modifications as needed. Hence, our clients award us projects based on our ability to:

  1. Quickly grasp the central objective of a video,

  2. Articulate that goal in a manner that is visually powerful and realistic for the budget and schedule, and

  3. Listen carefully to feedback, implementing changes as needed.

In this way, we realize the client’s vision by delivering videos of the highest quality on time and within budget. The second approach underlying our success is our flexible, iterative production process. As we describe, this process allows us to undertake projects with strict timelines and varied content without sacrificing creativity or production quality.

Our Scope, Approach & Methodology

Creating a Script and Storyboard

We have developed a state-of-the-art video production process. Our iterative method provides a cost-effective means by which to coordinate production quickly and efficiently. Our process creates the highest quality video content without sacrificing the caliber of content or technical excellence.

Creating a script and storyboard involves a structured and creative process. First, the scriptwriting begins by brainstorming ideas, developing a concise, compelling, and creative storyline that aligns with the project's goals and audience. The dialogue and narration are carefully crafted to engage and captivate the viewers.

Once the script is finalized, the storyboard creation begins. The visual outline includes scene-by-scene visuals, character illustrations, and animations that sync with the script. Each scene is carefully planned and sketched, ensuring that the visuals accurately portray the narrative and tone of the script. The character illustrations bring the story to life, depicting the personalities and emotions of each character.

Throughout this process, it's essential to incorporate relevant information from the background section, ensuring that the script and storyboard align with the project's vision, message, and target audience. The goal is to create a seamless flow between the script and the storyboard, enhancing the storytelling experience through captivating visuals and engaging dialogue.

Design Philosophy

In designing any video, we emphasize the connection between visual and audio elements to ensure powerful delivery of information.

The use of text or symbols in video is ideal for focusing the student’s attention on core concepts. For example, on-screen text will emphasize a key vocabulary word when it is used in narration. A change in color or contrast in a sector of the screen will direct a learner’s attention and enhance the learning process.

Segmenting information in the video serves to control the flow of new information. Segmenting allows learners to absorb information in conceptually manageable parts. The way in which segments are connected also plays a vital role in the viewer’s experience. Hence, our videos apply well-defined transitions to help the viewer recognize when one topic ends and another begins.

A “less is more” philosophy guides our design process. We diligently avoid busy or complex features, non-essential text, or distracting music—anything that does not contribute directly to the video’s overall educational and visceral goal.

The target audience and demographic are key factors that our design team considers. Thus, we design our videos so that the complex of visual and audio elements interact to accomplish aesthetic, visceral and pedagogical goals.

Methodology

We understand the creative process and operate on the principle that it is unrealistic to create an ideal video on the first attempt. Going into each project we recognize it takes several iterations to create the most effective video.

During each iteration of video development, we repeatedly rework the video. This method relies on the principle of a “continuous improvement process.” That is, development is an ongoing effort to improve the product. At each stage, the video is further refined, revised and modified until it meets or exceeds our quality criteria and the client’s standards. Only then will we prepare the video for final product release. Thus, our production methodology relies on close teamwork.

Team structure

Our team of employees collaborate seamlessly with each other and the client to complete a project.

How we work together

  1. Production Team – They create the video clip. This team comprises producers, editors, graphic designers, animators, consultants and others who have a hands-on role in video development.

  2. Project Facilitator – This person supports the production team. They frequently review progress to anticipate and resolve any issues. Their role keeps the production process flexible, and consistent with our best practices.

All members of our team are directly responsible for quality control. Each team member is required to look for and identify any quality issue at any stage of production. They are then empowered to alert team members as needed to address the issues. We minimize quality issues by holding frequent meetings with the project facilitator and production team. Together, they set goals, prioritize deliverables and resolve any production challenges. To keep the client updated on progress, the project facilitator provides weekly written updates and a checklist to the client’s content development team.

Phases of the Production Cycle

Producing a video is a creative activity. It is not just a process or an administrative system with a fixed workflow, although these are part of production. In our production cycle, planning, management, and execution are responsive, dynamic and ongoing. Our planning allows our production team to balance initial requirements with the target. We know our starting point, where we want to be at the end of the project, and what the team must do to get there. Phases of the production cycle include:

Initiation

We get client approval during the design phase, and then begin the remaining phases of production.

  • Project facilitator meets with content development team.

  • Facilitator meets with production team: review scripts, create timeline estimates and develop work schedules for specific video clip.

  • Producer and project facilitator research and compile visual elements: stock footage, stock photos, illustrations, screen text, and animations.

Design

  • Producer and editor produce a storyboard.

  • Submit the storyboard to the client for review, revisions and approval.

AV Element Development

During production, the time to develop an individual video clip will vary according to the type and quantity of title-specific visual elements it needs.

The how and when of acquiring video assets determines when video composition can begin and the clip’s position in the iterative process.

  • Producer assigns production of title-specific visual elements (graphics, animations, raw footage).

  • Audio track is recorded along with selected music.

Composition & Iteration

The iterative process controls the flexible production cycle. Once the client approves the design and we have all audiovisual elements, each iteration results in a more complete and refined version of the clip until its production is complete. An iteration may last several days, or up to two weeks, but a video always has a fixed completion time.

Multiple iterations take place during the production cycle and each follows its own workflow. During an iteration, the client’s content development team and stakeholders provide feedback to ensure the design and content meets requirements.

  • Production team edits video and audio elements based on iteration requirements and feedback. Iterations include assembly cut, rough cut, and final cut.

  • Additional iterations undertaken as necessary to achieve the highest quality final cut.

Master and Delivery

The key to the timely completion of a multi-title video project is to continue overall production while waiting for feedback or for a visual element. Our production team’s flexibility and dynamic scheduling allows producers to quickly reprioritize one video clip over another. In other words, a title can move ahead or behind in the queue to ensure the overall project moves forward towards completion on schedule and within budget.

Our production team is adept at managing numerous batches at one time. This production methodology allows us to set the completion date of each batch within six weeks from the date we receive the scripts.

  • Final technical tweaks and caption are made to final cut.

  • English language captions reviewed for accuracy.

  • Final cut is mastered and delivered to the client’s digital media operations in the approved format.

There is no on-size fits all

The concept of "one-size fits all" does not apply to the topic at hand due to the diverse range of factors and considerations that must be taken into account.

Different organizations have different competitors, geographies, existing domain ratings, technical issues and website content which all contribute to the individual needs of a business. We must consider each company's unique situation before determining the most effective digital marketing strategy.

Depending on their target market, companies may need to tailor their approach to optimize for different search engine algorithms and adjust their content accordingly. Companies across different industries will also require different strategies due to varying levels of competition in the marketplace.

The geographic location of a business can also influence its marketing strategy, as certain countries or regions may respond better to certain types of campaigns. Additionally, each company’s website has unique content that must be taken into consideration when formulating a digital marketing plan. All these aspects should be taken into account when creating an effective digital marketing campaign for any organization.
